Not sure about going the whole hog and signing up for the full BYU? Then the Mini Smurf Backyard might be the choice for you. The Mini Smurf allows you up to 6 laps on the backyard course at the same time as the full BYU, so you can get a taste without the full commitment!

The course itself is flowing dirt road and single track mountain bike trail with approximately 105m of elevation. It's challenging enough, but also easy enough that most can finish a lap with time to spare. We suggest that if you can run 10km's in 80-90 minutes, then you can complete a lap or two of this course.

In between loops, you are allowed to eat, drink, toilet, change clothes...whatever you need to do! And you can do all this with the support of a crew (or go solo). 

Then what happens if you get to 6 laps and want to keep going? Keep your credit card handy, because you can join in the fun of the main event by upgrading to the full Backyard Ultra!
